Frequently Asked Questions
What shapes can I create?
You can create rectangles, circles, ellipses, lines, polygons, paths, and text elements. Each shape can be customized with fill colors, stroke colors, stroke width, and opacity. You can also import custom SVG files or paste SVG code directly.
How do I resize shapes?
Click on a shape to select it. For rectangles and imported SVGs, blue resize handles appear at the corners - drag them to resize. For circles, drag the handle on the right to change the radius. You can also edit exact dimensions in the Properties panel.
How do I export my SVG?
You have multiple export options: Click "Copy SVG" to copy the SVG code to your clipboard, or click "Download" to save as an SVG file. For raster formats, click the "PNG" button and choose 1x, 2x, or 3x scale for different resolutions.
What keyboard shortcuts are available?
- Delete/Backspace: Delete selected shape
- Ctrl+D: Duplicate selected shape
- Ctrl+C: Copy selected shape
- Ctrl+V: Paste copied shape
- Ctrl+Z: Undo last action
- Ctrl+Y: Redo last undone action

Can I import existing SVGs?
Yes! You can import SVGs in two ways: Click "Import Custom SVG" to upload an SVG file from your computer, or paste SVG code directly. You can also use our built-in SVG Library which includes ready-to-use icons and illustrations.
What's the difference between SVG and PNG export?
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a vector format - it stays sharp at any size, has smaller file sizes, and can be edited later. Best for logos, icons, and web graphics.
PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is a raster format - it's made of pixels and may blur when scaled up. Best for sharing on social media, presentations, or when you need a fixed-resolution image.

Is my data saved or sent anywhere?
No! This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your designs are never uploaded to any server. When you close or refresh the page, your work is lost unless you download it first. We respect your privacy - no tracking, no data collection, just a free tool for creating SVGs.
